I had a blast trying out all the activities nearby like golfing, horse riding, and cycling. And I was delighted to have free private parking, so my posh car stayed nice and safe.
Oh, but how I loved the excitement of not knowing which moldy utensil I would uncover in the kitchen! So thrilling.

We recently stayed at the Shepherd's Hut for a few nights and it was absolutely delightful. The hut provided more space than we anticipated, with a cozy wood burner that kept us warm during the chilly autumn evenings. The shower was excellent and the dry toilet worked well when used properly. The location was simply unbeatable, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting. We loved waking up to the stunning views, and the hut's placement in the sun all day was a bonus. The fire pit and wood burner added a touch of fun and much-needed warmth. Having electric sockets, a shower, fridge, and toilet nearby was incredibly convenient. Not to mention, being able to bring our dogs along made our stay even more enjoyable. The nearby pub and ample walking opportunities were icing on the cake.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The view from the hut was absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful nature. The cozy and warm hut, along with the crackling fire, made for a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The location was ideal, with easy access to various tourist sites in Dorset.
The toilet facilities took some getting used to, as it was a unique eco toilet system. It would have been helpful to have been shown how to use it properly.

Our stay at Shepherd's Hut was absolutely delightful. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and picturesque location. The views from the hut were simply breathtaking. We loved the variety of places to explore nearby, whether it was the stunning coastline, charming towns, or the beautiful countryside. Despite our age, we found the facilities to be well-designed and suited to our needs. The bed was very comfortable, and we felt warm and cozy thanks to the log burner. The bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. We were also pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a gas BBQ and firepit. We even had the pleasure of meeting Jack, the friendly white horse on the farm. The hosts, Tony and his son, were friendly and helpful. we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Shepherd's Hut to others.
Although there were a few minor inconveniences such as not having tea and coffee provided, and needing to keep the hut door shut to prevent bugs from entering, these did not significantly impact our overall enjoyment of the stay.

The hut itself was warm, comfortable, and beautifully restored. The clear instructions and recommendations in the booklet were a helpful touch. The location was ideal, with easy access to Milton Abbas and surrounding attractions like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the farm and even had a chance to visit the farm shop and pub. We can't wait to return!
